Arts Council – DYCP Grant Application Outcome.

I’ve found out that I have been awarded an Arts Council ‘Developing Your Creative Practice’ grant that I applied for back in June.  One of the images I used for the application was a still from ‘Strung Out’.  This is my daughter, suffering for my art – wrapped in sisal string as part of the ‘Bound’ installation. Bound to me in so many ways. 

I am excited and terrified – now I have to deliver! The grant will support me in starting an art & science network, spending time in the ASCUS lab in Edinburgh experimenting in extracting pigment from fungi and having a new website built. See later blogs for my progress.
